Tekken 1 - 2 (King I)
A famous luchador from Mexico; there are actually two Kings in the series,
both of whom wore a jaguar mask in matches.
The first used to be a ruthless street brawler with no care
in the world except fighting. In one of his fights
King was grievously wounded and collapsed in front of a monastery.
The Marquez priests saved him from death. After recovering,
King realized how wrong he was and wanted to start a new life.
It was then he became a Catholic priest and renounced
his old fighting ways. He then became a man with a mission:
his dream is to build an orphanage so that street children
will have a home to go to and not end up like what he used to be.
Needing finances for the building of the orphanage,
King discovers the King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Against the monastery's order not to join, King enters the tournament.
He did receive the money, but with a heavy price:
he was excommunicated from his order.
King once again went back to the streets and soon,
he became miserable and started drinking.
He would have perished had he not been convinced by his old friend,
Armor King, to again wear the Jaguar Mask and join The Second
Iron Fist Tournament. The second tournament gave King another reason
to live: for the sake of the children in his orphanage.
After the tournament, King participated in both pro-wrestling
and martial arts tournaments to win money for his orphanage.
He also taught his fighting skills to the children
under his care as a means of self-defense.
Tekken 3 (King II)
One of them, a young man, took up both the mantle and the mask
shortly after the first King was killed by Ogre,
and went on to participate in Tekken 3,
effectively becoming King #2. Now 27,
he received further training from Armor King,
only to become furious when Craig Marduk killed Armor King in a bar brawl.
Tekken 4 (King II)
Upon Marduk's release, paid by King himself,
he sent a letter challenging Craig to the tournament in Tekken 4.
He defeated Craig easily in Tekken 4, sending him to the hospital,
where King followed him to deliver a deadly blow. However,
he stepped back and let him live.
Tekken 5 (King II)
Upon being challenged by Craig for the fifth tournament,
King steps on the ring once again to settle the score once and for all.
In his Tekken 5 ending he and Craig become wrestling partners.
Whether this ending is canon remains to be seen.

Tekken
Armor King is a member of a Mexican tribe who carries around
the Jaguar masks that both King and Armor King wear.
After a faithful meeting in which the original King was inducted
into Armor King's tribe, Armor King challenged him
to an battle of strength. While Armor King was clearly
the superior fighter, the battle ended with King
escaping and damaging his eye in process. However,
near the beginning of the second tournament,
the two set aside their differences and become great friends.
Tekken 2
Armor King travels from one wrestling ring to another searching
for a worthy challenger. Armor King watched with interest
at the 1st tournament as King's attempt to win the tournament
(and the much needed cash prize), ended in failure.
As King chose the path of the drunkard,
Armor King saw a total change in his
old rival as King no longer entered any
wrestling tournaments and disappeared for long periods of time.
Armor King became worried for his friend/rival
and intervened just in time as King was at the edge of a breakdown.
Finding King distraught and drunk in an alleyway,
he convinces him to get back into the spirit of fighting
and re-enter the tournament.
Meeting King at the tournament, he defeated him,
despite the other fighter's resolve and new techniques.
Telling him of his orphanage, he bids King to return
to his foster children. However, King was killed in attack by Ogre.
Seeing a new fighter step up to save the orphanage,
Armor King trains him as the original's successor.

Tekken 3 - 4
Between the third and fourth King of Iron Fist Tournament,
Craig Marduk started a bar brawl in Arizona and Armor King was killed.
However, it has been confirmed that Armor King
will appear in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection.
Whether this is the same Armor King,
or a successor like the second King, is currently unknown.
