Tekken 3
Ogre's true backstory is unknown, with only rumors and legends
providing any
information about his existence and purpose.
Legends say Ogre was an ancient war weapon left behind by aliens many years
ago.
He later was worshipped by the Aztec as a God of Fighting.
Many years after Heihachi reclaimed control of the
Mishima Zaibatsu,
he formed the Tekken Force, his own military group.
One of the missions of the Tekken Force was to
search an ancient temple
located somewhere in Mexico. Soon after they arrived there,
Heihachi learned that his entire
force had been obliterated
by The God of Fighting, Ogre.Heihachi saw the power of Ogre
and sought to capture him.
After
Ogre's release, he attacked many world
renowned martial arts masters all over the world.
Among his many victims were
the original King, Baek doo San,
and Jun Kazama, the mother of Jin.
After Ogre's attack on Jun, Jin fled to Heihachi
a
s she had previously instructed.
Heihachi decided to train the boy to become a powerful fighter,
but Heihachi's
intentions
were far more sinister than Jin could have predicted,
as his true plan to was to make Jin powerful enough
to lure Ogre to him.
Eventually, Heihachi announced the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3
as a way to bring Ogre out into
the open. Ogre appeared as planned,
but was defeated by Paul Pheonix.
Ogre was not finished however, and morphed into
True Ogre,
a more powerful transformation.
Heihachi once again attempted to capture Ogre,
but his plan was ultimately
foiled when Jin killed True Ogre,
who's body dissolved into thin air.
Although Ogre was gone, Heihachi devised a new
plan to make himself
the ultimate warrior by using the genes of Ogre that were collected after the fight with Jin.
But
Ogre's genome could not be integrated without the Devil gene,
which Heihachi did not possess. He knew that Jin and the
ressurected Kazuya did,
and announced the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 to lure them out.

Tekken 3
After Ogre was defeated by Paul Pheonix
in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3,
he morphed into True Ogre,
a large dragon-like monster with a snake
in place for an arm. Ogre now had the ability
to fly,
teleport, and spit fire along with all of his other powers.
It was the final battle: Ogre versus Jin Kazama
(or Heihachi Mishima versus Ogre when Heihachi was selected).
Jin, seeking revenge against the monster that killed
his mother,
vanquished True Ogre, and his body dissolved into nothing.
Two years later,
Heihachi attempted to use Ogre's genes to make himself
the ultimate warrior,
but his plan was unsuccessful
and he learned that he needed the Devil gene
to integrate Ogre's genome with his own.
Heihachi announced the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4
to lure Kazuya and Jin so that he could obtain the Devil gene.
Devil Within (Tekken 5)
After Jin left the Hon-Maru after the final battle
in the King of
Iron Fist Tournament 4,
he heard that his mother was still alive at G Corporation.
When Jin traveled to their labs,
he discovered what G Corporation was truly after: Ogre.
Beneath the labs were the remains of another ancient temple,
where Jin battled his nemesis once more. True Ogre fled
to a deeper part of the ruins, and Jin followed after him.
The enemies Jin fought were inhuman aliens,
and the surroundings resembled a crystal-like palace.
Jin accidentally destroyed the seal containing Ogre
and then battle him one last time. Ogre revealed yet
another
transformation, and his third form towered over Jin.
Ogre's body became a green and golden color and his body
had
more horns and even more dragon-shaped.
He a new ability to create giant whirlwinds,
along with all of his other attacks,
m
aking him extremely difficult to defeat.
Although it is implied that G Corporation revived Ogre,
it is not known if the Devil Within side
story is canon.
It's also unknown if the Ogre here is the same Ogre as in Tekken 3,
or if it is a different one altogther
(Seeing as how there was another temple and the fact
that this Ogre did not have a snake arm like the one in Tekken
3).
Also, Devil Within implies that Ogre has a much more deep
relationship with the Devil Gene than previously known,
and given that Ogre plays no role in Tekken 5 itself,
it's unlikely that Devil Within is canon.
It may be possible
that Ogre is the one possessing Jinpachi Mishima,
but the Devil seems like a much more likely cause.
